Reasons to love city living

Reasons to love city living,” or, how urban ministry is really a middle class idyll. While I appreciated the discussion of the tension between the darkness and the light in a city environment (while guessing you could do something similar for a rural setting), I did not particularly enjoy this. It suggested some odd priorities.

  1. When this work day is over, I am looking forward to returning to my quiet, empty, boring to tears suburb/rural home! Where I can actually see stars, get a report from my son on how many crawdads he caught in the stream and sit and talk with my wife on a front porch as the sun sets. All of that is very much a matter of preference, I know.
